Adapt Launches Nuance 2.0, Bringing Multi-Model AI Localization into a Single Creative Platform
September 7, 2026 – Amsterdam, Netherlands – Ahead of IBC 2026, Adapt today announced Nuance 2.0, a major release of its AI-powered localization platform designed to centrally orchestrate the technologies, workflows, and human expertise required to localize content at scale.
With Nuance 2.0, Adapt can manage the end-to-end AI localization workflow within a single platform, spanning translation, subtitling, voice generation and cloning, dubbing, audio post-production, and visual lip sync. The release introduces major advances across three areas: expanded AI model integrations, an all-new Dubbing Studio, and enhanced recruitment, onboarding, and skills management for Adapt’s global network of linguists.
“AI localization is evolving incredibly quickly, and there is no single model or technology that is best at everything,” said Justin Beaudin, CEO and Co-Founder of Adapt. “Our vision for Nuance has always been to bring the best technologies together and put them in the hands of talented localization professionals. Nuance 2.0 is a major step forward in making that vision a reality.”
A Growing Ecosystem of AI Models and Localization Tools
Nuance 2.0 significantly expands the range of AI models and specialized technologies available within Adapt’s localization workflows.
New integrations include Respeecher’s award-winning voice technology, Anthropic’s Claude Opus for translation and contextual intelligence, TwelveLabs for video understanding and contextual analysis, and Sync Labs for facial reanimation and visual lip sync.
These additions join more than a dozen AI models and technologies already integrated into Nuance, including ElevenLabs, Dubformer, Speechmatics, and LipDub. Adapt also maintains integrations with professional localization and post-production tools including OOONA for subtitle editing and Avid Pro Tools for audio mixing.
Rather than relying on a single AI provider, Nuance is designed to allow Adapt to continually evaluate and deploy different technologies based on the language, content, creative requirements, and use case of each project.
“At sync. labs, our purpose is to help great filmmaking reach further; to give stories from anywhere in the world the chance to find the audiences they deserve without losing the performance that made them powerful in the first place,” said Prady Modukuru, CEO of sync. labs. “By putting our visual dubbing technology into the hands of world class partners like Adapt, we can help more stories reach new languages and markets at scale. That’s what makes Adapt such a natural partner for us, language shouldn’t limit how far a great story or performance can travel.”
“Dubformer and Adapt have built a fantastic partnership,” added Anton Dvorkovich, CEO of Dubformer. “As we continue to build better AI voice technology, Nuance gives Adapt the ability to deploy those advances into production even faster than before.”
A New Dubbing Studio Built for Creative Control
At the center of Nuance 2.0 is Adapt’s new Dubbing Studio, which gives linguists precise control over the translation, casting, generation, timing, and editing of both cloned and synthetic voices within a single timeline.
The studio is designed to separate the creative localization workflow from any individual AI model. Adapt linguists can evaluate and cast voices across multiple providers while working within the same production environment, allowing the underlying technology to change without disrupting the creative process.
“Prior to Nuance 2.0, we were more restricted in which voice models could be used within a given workflow,” said Kevin Munro, CTO and Co-Founder of Adapt. “With the new Dubbing Studio, our linguists can cast and work across different voice models in one timeline. That gives them significantly more creative flexibility while allowing us to integrate new technologies much faster.”
“Our goal is to give our talented global linguists as many tools as we can through one intuitive interface,” said Matteo Natale, COO of Adapt. “AI dubbing should still be a creative process. The technology should give our linguists more choices and more control, not less.”
The expanded model ecosystem also allows Adapt to introduce new voice technologies directly into the Dubbing Studio as they become available.
“Having Respeecher available within the Nuance Dubbing Studio just makes sense,” said Alex Serdiuk, CEO of Respeecher. “We’ve built voice technology that was used in Oscar-winning movies, and we want those voices to be carefully, respectfully and securely crafted into finished performances by experienced localization providers like Adapt.”
Building Technology Around Human Expertise
Nuance 2.0 also expands the infrastructure supporting Adapt’s global network of localization professionals.
The new release introduces a streamlined recruitment and onboarding pipeline for linguists joining Adapt’s marketplace, along with expanded skills tracking, training, and user management capabilities. The system is designed to help Adapt identify the right talent for each language, market, content type, and localization workflow as its global network continues to grow.
“We are nothing without our human experts,” said Beaudin. “That has been fundamental to our vision from the beginning. As much as we invest in AI, we also want to build a world-class experience for the linguists using it — from recruitment and onboarding through training and production. Some of that comes down to maintaining real human relationships with our linguists, but it also requires giving them the right systems and tools to do their best creative work.”
Nuance 2.0 reflects Adapt’s broader approach to AI localization: AI models provide increasingly powerful capabilities, while experienced localization professionals provide the linguistic, cultural, and creative judgment required to turn those capabilities into finished content.
The platform has been designed so Adapt can continue integrating new models and technologies as the AI landscape evolves, while maintaining a consistent creative workflow for its clients and global localization teams.
